Guide
Free Fonts
Today we're launching a collection of over 400+ fonts that are completely free to use for any type of project, including commercial applications. You can browse the full collection here, test out any of the fonts online, and directly download and use any of the TTF files for your work.

Each font in this collection is completely novel and was generated by users of Mixfont, who used our font generation model to create and publish their own custom fonts. We're now publishing a set of these fonts for anyone to use for free.
These fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, which means you can use them for any type of project, whether it's personal, commercial, or open source. You can even modify and redistribute these fonts or embed them into your own applications. If you do use or modify these fonts, we'd love if you could attribute our project, but it's not required.
About the collection
The collection contains a wide variety of fonts in different styles, including serif, sans-serif, display, and more. Many of them are designed to be bold and useful for headlines, posters, and other types of display use cases.
Here are some of my personal favorites:

There's a lot of variety in the collection, so you should be able to find something that fits any type of project. And in the case that the results aren't perfect, you can always use Mixfont's AI font generator to create your own font exactly in the style that you need.
Users can browse the collection by searching for a specific font name, or filtering the results by different styles, weights, and other attributes. Each font also has its own detail page where you can see more information about the font, test it out with custom text, and download the TTF file.
How the fonts were created
Our font generation model takes a prompt or an image sample and writes a full TTF font file from that input. This model was trained on a variety of images from across the web and finetuned on open source fonts. We also use a custom pipeline to clean up model output into a downloadable TTF file.
While submitting a prompt, users can specify specific elements of the font, including handwritten styles, specific letterform features, and more. The fonts in the free fonts collection were created in a variety of styles, and we're releasing this collection partly to showcase the results of our work. We hope that you find the fonts useful for your projects.
Our goals of the project
Our team at Mixfont believes in a future where font licensing is more open and accessible to all. You can read about our approach to this more on our blog. To this end, our release of Free Fonts is just the beginning. Over time, we plan to add more fonts to the collection as well as improve our generation model and pipeline. Our goal is to democratize access to high quality fonts for everyone, and we hope that this collection is a step in that direction.
I would also love feedback on the collection and the fonts themselves. There are some limitations of the model today that we will continue to address over time. If you enjoyed the fonts or have feedback, we would love for you to get in touch. Thanks for reading, and check out the full collection here.
