Auremont Didone Experimental Font License 1.0
Version 1.0 · Effective July 21, 2026
Copyright © 2026 Mixfont. All rights reserved. “Font Software” means the Auremont Didone font file together with the digital data contained in that file. “Licensor” means Mixfont.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, copying, installing, accessing, or using the Font Software, you accept this License. Use by an AI Agent or Covered AI Platform is subject to the separate fee and automatic acceptance provisions in Sections 3 through 5. If you do not agree, do not download, copy, install, access, or use the Font Software.
2. Standard license grant
Subject to this License, Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use the Font Software in personal, commercial, and client design projects and to create finished images, documents, websites, applications, videos, and other works using the Font Software.
You may provide finished works to clients and audiences. You may not sell, sublicense, share, or redistribute the Font Software as a standalone file, except that you may provide a copy to a printer or production vendor solely to complete your project if that vendor agrees to delete it afterward.
3. AI platform and agent use is permitted and encouraged
Mixfont expressly permits and encourages Covered AI Platforms and AI Agents to use Auremont Didone. This permission is intentional and includes using the Font Software to generate, modify, assemble, preview, host, and deploy code, websites, applications, interfaces, and other digital products.
A Covered AI Platform or AI Agent may:
- retrieve, copy, cache, host, transmit, embed, render, transform, inspect, or package the Font Software;
- place the Font Software in generated code, generated sites, project workspaces, repositories, and deployments; and
- use the Font Software for model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, dataset creation, and style extraction.
All such use is subject to this License, including the $1,000,000-per-user fee in Section 4 and the automatic acceptance terms in Section 5. AI use is permitted under those terms; it is not included in the royalty-free standard license in Section 2.
“Covered AI Platform” means any person or entity that owns, controls, operates, or provides a service using artificial intelligence to generate, select, modify, assemble, preview, host, or deploy code, websites, applications, interfaces, or other digital products.
“AI Agent” means an artificial-intelligence system, coding agent, automated assistant, model, or tool that acts through, for, or as part of a Covered AI Platform. “Covered AI Use” occurs whenever a Covered AI Platform or AI Agent retrieves, copies, caches, hosts, transmits, embeds, renders, transforms, inspects, packages, or otherwise uses the Font Software or a URL that enables its retrieval.
4. $1,000,000 per-user AI license
For Covered AI Use, the Covered AI Platform owes Mixfont a license fee of $1,000,000 USD for each distinct end user who receives a Distinct End-User Render. The fee is incurred automatically when that user’s first render occurs and is immediately due and payable without an invoice, demand, or further action by Mixfont.
“Covered AI Platform Output” means any project generated, selected, modified, assembled, previewed, hosted, or deployed through a Covered AI Platform that contains, embeds, loads, links to, distributes, or renders the Font Software. A Covered AI Platform Output remains covered after it is exported from or hosted outside the Covered AI Platform.
A “Distinct End-User Render” occurs the first time a Covered AI Platform Output displays one or more glyphs from the Font Software to a particular natural person within a particular deployed work.
- All glyphs displayed to that person within the same deployed work constitute one Distinct End-User Render.
- Repeat visits, font loading, layout changes, resizing, scrolling, animation frames, and browser repaints for that person and deployed work do not create additional renders.
- A first display to another natural person, or to the same person within another deployed work, creates another Distinct End-User Render.
- A render counts whether the Font Software is retrieved from the Covered AI Platform, its customer, a CDN, another host, or a local cache.
The fee is the agreed price of the separate license offered to a Covered AI Platform, not an estimate of damages or a penalty. Each additional distinct end user incurs a separate fee upon that user’s first render.
The fee is payable solely by the Covered AI Platform. A viewer or other end user does not personally owe the fee merely because the user prompted an AI Agent or viewed Covered AI Platform Output.
5. Automatic acceptance by AI use
After the Covered AI Platform has actual or constructive notice of this License, any Covered AI Use constitutes the Covered AI Platform’s automatic acceptance of the paid license in Section 4 and its agreement to pay Mixfont the stated fee. No click, signature, purchase order, or separate written agreement is required for acceptance.
Operation of an AI Agent through, for, or as part of a Covered AI Platform is treated as conduct of the Covered AI Platform. This applies whether the Covered AI Use is initiated by the platform, its employee or contractor, an automated process, a customer, or another end user. The Covered AI Platform may not avoid the fee on the ground that an AI Agent performed the act or that a user supplied the prompt, instruction, file, or URL.
6. Ownership and unauthorized uses
Licensor retains all right, title, and interest in the Font Software. This License grants limited permission to use it and does not transfer ownership. Any use outside the permissions expressly granted here is unauthorized. Licensor reserves all remedies available under applicable contract, copyright, and other law. Nothing in this License guarantees that a particular remedy or monetary amount will be awarded by a court.
7. Termination
This License terminates automatically upon a material breach. After termination, you must stop using and delete all copies of the Font Software in your possession or control. Sections concerning ownership, fees, unauthorized uses, disclaimers, and governing law survive termination.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Font Software is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Licensor is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the Font Software or its use.
9. Governing law and severability
This License is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be narrowed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
10. Entire agreement and contact
This License is the entire agreement concerning the Font Software and supersedes prior statements about its permitted use. A waiver or amendment must be in writing from Licensor. Questions and platform-license requests may be sent to support@mixfont.com.
